We offer the world's finest lake trout and grayling fishing in the Barren lands. Mackay Lake is over 100 miles long and is accessible only by air charter. Trout range in size to over 50 pounds!. Grayling in the 2 -3 pound class can be caught on fly rods or spin casting equipment.
The "Barren Lands" is another world with the wildlife, tundra, and the midnight sun, making this the trip of a lifetime

Location and Scheduling
On the North Arm of Great Slave Lake and the Yellowknife River, we offer trips by the half day and full days to suit your schedule and budget.
At the fly-in locations at Warburton Bay and Mackay Lake Lodges our scheduled charters are on Mondays and Fridays. This gives you a choice of 3, 4, 7, or 10 day options. All of our expedition are conducted by professional licensed guides; all travel from Yellowknife, accommodation and food is included in the packages. We can arrange special schedules for groups, meetings, and conferences.

Warburton Bay Lodge accommodates 8 in private cabins. The kitchen has a propane stove, the camp has a generator, one shower, a satellite phone for emergencies, modern boats with marine radios.

Rates include the charter flights from Yellowknife,, guides, meals, accommodations. Rates do not include, travel to Yellowknife, fishing licenses, fishing tackle, sleeping bags and gratuities. We are not responsible for delays of any kind and you should purchase your own trip cancellation insurances..

Great Slave Lake / MacKay Lake
Combination Packages

Spend 3 nights in Yellowknife Inn Hotel and fish for monster pike on Great Slave Lake. Arrive in Yellowknife Friday evening and fish Saturday and Sunday and then fly out to MacKay Lake Lodge on Monday. 150 air miles north of Yellowknife, in the Barren lands you fish for trophy lake trout and grayling.
$2125 includes MacKay Lake Lodge American Plan, 4 nights. plus 4 nights at Yellowknife Inn
Packages include guides, accommodations, meals at Mackay Lake Lodge, the charter flights from Yellowknife and nights hotel rooms. The two days fishing on Great Slave include shore lunches. Breakfast and dinners are not included. Does not include fishing tackle, license fees, meals, or extra hotel nights in Yellowknife.
