Goods & Services Tax not included in the hunt price
- Hunters
must be in Prince George Thursday as they are met in the evening for
orientation, licenses, etc.
- Departure
from Prince George to the camp is no later than 8 AM on Friday. Guests
arrive at the hunting grounds Friday afternoon.
- Departure
from the Lodge is by 8 AM and are back in Prince George by 2:00 PM the
following Friday * Outgoing flights should not be booked before 3 or
4:00 PM Friday *
- Ground
Transportation cost from Prince George to Lodge (return) $250
USD/person
- Season
dates available, Sept 5th to Oct 10th
- Hunters
will ride 2 hours on horseback to an abandoned mining camp and hunt
the alpine for Caribou and / or Goats
- This is
not a really difficult hunt but hunters should be in reasonable shape
to harvest a good bull and / or billy
- Accommodations:
Two remote cabin camps constructed of native spruce & pine logs.
- The hunt
is conducted on foot and horseback only.
- There is
another area where there are some monster Caribou, must be willing to
hike for a day to get there. This is strictly a backpack / tent hunt.
- The Non
Hunting companion daily rate is $150 USD
- A 50%
deposit is required to book your hunt, with the remainder due upon
arrival via cash or travelers checks. No personal check are accepted
for the final payment.
Gear
- Rifle,
Sleeping bag, Video Camcorder, still camera
- Camo /
Orange Not required by law or the Lodge. It is the responsibility
of each client to decide if they want to wear orange due to safety.
- Windproof,
waterproof, warm clothing and boots will be good for all hunts
- Meat is
taken to a meat cutter who debones, wraps and freezes it. Its the
customers responsibility to let the lodge know of the flight
arrangements, time / dates, etc.
- All
hunts include meals, accommodations, guides and equipment, i.e..
Boats, motors, gas, horses and tacks, and quads where applicable
- Cabin
sites have no cooks, the guides & hunters work together for all
camp chores. Cooking, making a fire, doing dishes, making lunches
- All
alcoholic beverages must be brought or can be purchased prior leaving

Arctic
Island Caribou & Muskox Combo
Nunavut,

This is an eight-day one on one hunt with
six full days of guided hunting. A maximum of 6 hunters per week or 16
hunters per year are accommodated for this hunt.
HUNTING CONDITIONS
Clients will be transported by floatplane
from Yellowknife to the hunting camp located at the east end of Prince
Albert Sound on Victoria Island. During the hunt, hunters are transported
by boat and ATV until game is located. The final stalk will be made on
foot. Travel to the hunting area is by floatplane which can be adversely
affected by weather, as with all arctic travel, and you should be prepared
to lose a day or two due to weather.
Accommodation on the hunt is provided in a
tent camp. There is an opportunity to fish for Arctic Char and Lake Trout
during the hunt.
