ACCOMMODATIONS
|
|

|
| The main base
camp is located on the remote shores of Kusawa Lake. Here. our cook
serves some hearty meals in a comfortable kitchen cabin.
An experienced wrangler is on hand to care for the horses. The log
cabins are dry and warm. They accommodate two hunters comfortably
and are equipped with wood heating stoves, beds and mattresses.
Other base camps include "Moose Camp", which is located at
Howard Lake. and also our Granite Lake camp. Radio telephones at
Kusawa "Moose Camp" and Granite Lake keep us in contact
with Whitehorse at all times. The majority of hunting is done
on horseback. We have a string of reliable horses, well-adapted to
the mountainous terrain. Each
hunter is accompanied by a guide skilled at stalking game, handling
horses, and caring for trophies. All hunts are 1 on 1 unless otherwise
requested. In most cases, hunters
and their guides operate from spike camps away from base-camp. This
is accomplished easily with sturdy horses equipped with the best of
saddles and pack gear; allowing the hunter to cover more ground and
increasing his chances of collecting a trophy animal. |
